Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between your business and Tradelynz Technologies Ltd. By opening an account, you accept them on behalf of your business.

They apply to our platform and the services on it: the marketplace, cross-border payments, escrow, logistics tracking and trade finance. Some services have extra terms, which we show you before you use them. Where the two conflict, the extra terms apply to that service.

Tradelynz is for businesses that:

• Are registered and operate within the law.
• Are represented by someone authorised to accept these terms for them.
• Pass our verification and keep their information up to date.
• Are not, and are not owned or controlled by, anyone on a sanctions list.

Your business is responsible for everything done through its account. Keep sign-in details safe, give each team member only the role they need, and tell us straight away if you think someone has used your account without permission.

We verify every business, and the people who own and run it, before it can trade, and we may check again at any time. We may ask for more information, and we may decline an application or limit an account if we cannot complete our checks. The law does not always allow us to tell you why.

• When you create a quote, payment, escrow or order, you confirm that its details are correct.
• Payment quotes show the rate and fee before you approve them, and hold the rate for a limited time.
• Funds in escrow are released under the conditions both businesses agreed before it was funded.
• Trade finance is provided by our partners, who make their own decisions and set their own terms.
• The goods you buy and sell are a matter between your business and the other business in the trade.

We show the cost of each transaction before you approve it, and by approving it you agree to pay that cost. We may change our fees for future transactions, and we will tell you before we do.

• Break the law, or help anyone else to.
• Trade in prohibited goods, or with sanctioned people, businesses or countries.
• Give us false information or documents.
• Use Tradelynz to launder money or finance terrorism.
• Try to access accounts or data that are not yours, or disrupt the platform.

You can close your account at any time once your open transactions are complete. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, when the law requires it, or to protect other businesses on Tradelynz. Where we can, we will tell you first.

We provide Tradelynz with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen or prevented. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

We may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes before they take effect. If you keep using Tradelynz after that, the updated terms apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
